"Mehfil" is a mix of Khayal, Thumri, Ghazal and Sufiana by Vidushi Ramneek Singh, the unparalleled torch-bearer of the Indore Gharana.

About the Artists:
Ramneek Singh, an internationally acclaimed Indian born Canadian, Hindustani Classical vocalist, originally from New Delhi, India, now based in Canada, has created her own niche in the music world through her unique style. Coming from the rich lineage of Ustad Amir Khan’s Indore Gharana, Ramneek is proficient in musical genres like Khayal, Thumri, bhajan, Shabad, Sufiana and Folk. She has performed all over Canada, USA, UK, Australia and India and her mesmerizing voice, that spans three octaves, leaves a lasting effect on audiences.
She has many CD's to her credit namely Ibaadat, Naad, Gobind Naam and 2 of her recent Toronto based CDs called Saanjh and Bandishein which have some of her own compositions. Some of these are available on iTunes and Spotify. Ramneek writes under the name of “Ibaadat” and her poetry in the form of Khayal, thumri and Tarana which she has composed herself, is highly acclaimed.
She runs a music academy by the name of “Sur-rang Music Academy” through which she is training many students all over the world in the art of vocal classical music in the Indore Gharana style, as propagated by her grandguru, the legendary Ustad Amir Khan sahib. She has been doing in person as well as online classes for many years now, training students globally. She is a recipient of many awards including the "Women's Hero Award" for music. She has recently been nominated for the “Top 25 Canadian Immigrant award 2021” which is a very prestigious nomination.
Accompanying on tabla is Mir Naqibul Islam, an avid student of Tabla, Mir has trained in the traditional guru-shisya style of Indian Classical music from Pt. Ashoke Paul, disciple of the great tabla guru Pt. Jnan Prakash Ghosh. Now living and working in New York city, he performs regularly with musicians from a wide variety of other genres, bringing tabla to Jazz, Middle-Eastern music and other contexts.
Accompanying on Harmonium is Ravi Mishra. Ravi was born and raised in Queens NY. He started his music training at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Pt. Kinnar and Payal Seen and later under the guidance of Pt. Ajay Jha. Ravi had honor to accompanying various artists such as Pt. Anindo Chaterjee, Pt Kumar Bose.
