Pushon Plays' third production, Balidan - A Hindi Play is inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's Bisarjan set in the Kingdom of Tripura, India. The play revolves around the conflict between tradition and humanism. The King wants to abolish animal sacrifice at the temple of Goddess Kali. However, the head priest fiercely defends the age-old ritual as essential for divine favor. As the tension peaks with ideological clashes, Tagore's humanistic ideals triumphs with the ultimate sacrifice (Balidan) and relinquishment of blind faith. With Tapas Ray & Trupti Deshpande as the co-directors, this portrayal of the conflict between orthodoxy and reform mirrors Tagore's own progressive beliefs and social reforms, in the context of 19th century India.

Now, under the innovative direction of Alka Sharma, Raat is being reimagined for Cincinnati audiences, introducing new, bold elements that promise to bring fresh perspectives and even more thought-provoking insights to this critical conversation. Alka Sharma’s unique vision adds a layer of creativity and depth to the play, ensuring it resonates with viewers on an entirely new level, while maintaining the profound emotional impact that has already defined this masterpiece. "Balidan" marks our third production and continues our tradition of excellence in presenting compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. Raat - Mandi Theater Chicago's production is only on Saturday, 21st June 4:30 - 5:30 PM.
This is a complimentary show with no pre-assigned seat numbers. You can choose to add this to your Balidan ticket.

1. All ticket sales are final. Tickets once purchased cannot be modified or cancelled. Refunds will be initiated only in case of event is canceled by the organizer.
2. Tickets may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes.
3. Please take a print out (or digital copy) of the ticket (and QR Codes) that you will receive from Vibrnz and show it at the venue to gain access to various services. Any failure to provide proper identification and valid QR codes may result in the denial of admission/services with no refund.
4. Transaction fee per ticket may be levied. Please check the total amount before payment.
5. Before making any purchase, please make sure to meet the required minimum age restrictions. The Vibrnz system/process does not restrict ticket purchases by age. You must meet the required age requirements to attend the event. If you do not meet the required age and do not have a valid ID, you will not be allowed into the event and you will not be given a refund.
6. Organizers hold the right to deny late entry to the event. Hence, we recommend reaching the venue an hour before the event starts to ensure smooth entry.
7. If an event is canceled/postponed, Vibrnz will refund only the face value of the ticket and NOT the transaction fee.
8. The organizer reserves the right to make alterations to the cast, program, or seating arrangements (for unreserved seating).
9. Photography, video recording, or sound recording of any kind is strictly prohibited during the performance.
10. The use of mobile phones or any electronic devices that emit light or sound is not permitted during the performance.
11. Ticket holders are expected to behave respectfully towards the performers, staff, and fellow audience members.
12. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the venue without a refund.
13. Every venue has its own rules and regulations. They hold the right to deny entry on the basis of the same.
14. By participating in or attending the event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Liability Waiver below.

Please read carefully before participating in or attending Balidan and/or Raat shows (the "Event") at the Andersen Center Theater, 7850 Five Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH on June 20-21, 2025. By participating in or attending the Event, you (the "Participant") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk:
You understand and acknowledge that participation in or attendance at the Event may involve certain risks, including but not limited to: physical injury (e.g., slips, falls, collisions), emotional distress, property damage, and exposure to illness (including communicable diseases). You voluntarily assume all such risks and accept full responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, or expense that you may incur as a result of your participation in or attendance at the Event.
2. Release and Waiver of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Pushon Plays and Andersen Center Theater, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and sponsors (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, expenses, and liabilities of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with your participation in or attendance at the Event, including but not limited to any injury, damage, or loss caused by the negligence (whether sole, concurrent, or otherwise) of the Released Parties.
3. Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees), and liabilities of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of or in any way connected with your participation in or attendance at the Event, including but not limited to any injury, damage, or loss caused by your own negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Medical Treatment:
You hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during the Event. You understand that the Released Parties do not assume any responsibility for any medical expenses incurred as a result of such treatment.
5. Photography and Videography:
You understand that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during the Event. By participating in or attending the Event, you grant the Released Parties the irrevocable right and permission to use your image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to advertising, promotional, or commercial purposes, without further consent or compensation.
6. Governing Law and Venue:
This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Waiver shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
7. Severability:
If any provision of this Waiver is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
8. Entire Agreement:
This Waiver constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Released Parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
